What You Put into the Universe Comes Back Pt. 2

There is a saying don't start a fight you cant finish.

Bret Gordon has a history of issuing threats, making challenges, harassment and online bullying when asked to simply verifiy his claims. Gordon along with Steven Hatfield and John Youngblood harassed a person named, Dale Dumas. Mr Dumas was challenged to a fight or to spar but he had to sign a waiver first. Dumas has been battling for his life against cancer.  But that didn't stop this brave trio from trying to flex.

When Dumas agreed to spar or fight Gordon, Hatfield and John Youngblood Gordon's black belt inserted themselves into the squabble. Both inferring they wanted a piece of Dumas (see below).

How brave of Gordon, Hatfield and Youngblood, multiple guys against one guy with cancer.....

Dumas showed up a week prior to the match and dropped off the waiver and left with Gordon inviting him to come back anytime. The next day Gordon filed a false police report against Dumas claiming Dumas tore up the place and was told to leave and not come back. Just weeks after Hatfield and Gordon filed a frivolous lawsuit against Dumas who was also jobless, because Dumas had the audacity to meet Gordon's terms and drop off the signed waiver a week prior to the match.

I want to be clear, to date, not one of them has come after me or wanted to get on the mats with me. I'm 40 miles from Clermont. Gordon and others then harassed a student of mine and his 13 year old daughter just because he had trained with me. Former students of Gordon's have reached out and have said both Gordon and Youngblood admitted privately that a mistake was made but Youngblood stayed quiet about the whole thing. Youngblood obviously chose to involve himself......his actions, his silence makes him just as culpable as far as I'm concerned.

I know who was involved and to what extent they all were. Too many have told me the same story. I do not think all these former students and others are lying about Gordon, Hatfield or Youngblood. I think Gordon and Hatfield lied to a lot of people and Youngblood was aware of it all. He didn't care as long as he got martial arts rank from them.

If Gordon ever tries to claim we worked things out assume it is another lie.....

I will now take this time to extend an invite to all three Gordon, Hatfield and Youngblood to get on the mats with me at the same fucking time.

They are not martial artists, they are not even men. They can all three taunt Dumas into a fight but they dont want a piece of your truly.

This is my last article on the likes of Gordon. You can click this link to read part One here:  https://theninjerkiller.blogspot.com/2025/05/what-you-put-into-universe-comes-back.html

Gordon and his associates have done nothing but fabricate their entire background and lineages to perpetuate fraud. All mentioned have been active in their own way doing so.

Gordon has habit and custom of misrepresenting his affiliations with other martial artists and organizations. Gordon according to several of his former students has claimed that he and I worked things out. This is nothing but a lie.

Gordon claims regarding Daitoryu Aikijujutsu are nothing but more fabrication and misrepresentation. He lies. The core of which centers on fabricating or exaggerating connections to legitimate martial arts lineages and figures, as well as fabricating and or misrepresenting the support or endorsement of other practitioners.

According to Eric Pearson, Gordon fabricated a "glowing review" supposedly from Pearson. When Mr. Pearson found out about Gordon doing this, he contacted Gordon and asked for it to be removed. Gordon refused his request see messages below.

Pearson addressed this publicly on his blog.

"I am a moderator on one of the large Daito Ryu AikiJujutsu Facebook groups. Years ago Bret Gordon joined the Facebook group. I recall he posted a few videos. He was claiming connections to Kodokai as I recall. We had a pleasant exchange on Facebook messenger. I know very little about the lineage he was claiming. Another moderator on the group blocked him from access to the facebook group because he suspected Mr. Gordon was lying (the other moderator IS part of Kodokai and has access to the records). That was pretty much the extent of my knowledge of Mr Gordon.

So it has come to my attention that Mr Gordon is using my name as a reference on his website. Budoka online have been questioning me about my “glowing review” of Mr Gordon. I don't know why Mr Gordan chose me as a reference. Recently I discovered that he, without my knowledge, used me as a reference. I asked him to please remove the statement. He refused my request."

Mr. Pearson's statement in it's entirety can be found at https://tomikiaikido.blogspot.com/2024/10/in-reference-to-bret-gordon.html

Gordon announced on his blog that he would release a book that included "proof" of his back ground and also included a supposed picture of Hasaka Yutashi.

Two weeks after its release the Kodokai organization themselves debunked the claims Gordon made in his book.

"There is no connection between Bret Gordon and the Daito ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai organization either here in the USA or in Japan. Any claims he is making regarding such a connection are entirely false.

The Daito ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai organization keeps strict records of it's members. There is and has never been a "Hasaka Yutashi" who trained in the Kodokai organization either here in the USA or in Japan. There is no basis for him to claim that his organization is based on or connected with the Kodokai in any way shape or form, much like the claim he mentions about Yoshinkan aikido.

Furthermore, Gordon should should specifically state that his organization has no historical ties, lineage or affiliation with the Daito ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai organization. Additionally the individual depicted in the photograph included in his book has never held any rank or title within the Daito ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai organization in either the USA or Japan.

I hope this clarification is helpful. Please feel free to reach if any further information is needed."

Sincerely, Donald Quintana

Letter from Donald Quintana Kodokai Secretary of General Affairs

On the heels of the statement from the kodokai (above), the former General Secretary from the Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu Kodokai organization has also spoken out about Gordon's spurious claims and blatant misrepresentation of Daito Ryu connections. John Persson related that Gordon didnt present himself a daitto ryu practitioner but some one doing a street wise jujutsu. However Gordon took Persson's comments and edited them to make it appear Persson was commending him regarding Daitoryu.

In Gordon's book on pages 11- 14, Gordon covers his "training" with the Ginjukai which included Dimitri Deglas, Jor Brogna and Howard Popkin. Gordon alleges in his book that he trained with them twice a month beginning 2019 and that "he left" in 2020 indicating he trained with the group any from 30 to 40 times at the least and that he even taught classes while there. However, according to Popkin, Dimitri and Brogna, this doesnt appear to be the case. Gordon only attended a few classes maybe 6 to 10 at the most and only as a budo courtesy. It appears Gordon was caught in some of his "misrepresentations" was called a liar to his face, told to leave and wasn't allowed to come back. I was forwarded this recent email (below)and then I talked with Mr. Popkin by phone.

This directly contradicts what Gordon writes in his book that he alleges is proof of his training regarding the Daitoryu Aikijujutsu Ginjukai.

Popkin described Gordon as a "bold faced liar" who was fabricating his back ground. Popkin made earlier statements debunking Gordon, alleging Gordon used Kodokai pictures with out authorization or permission. Those statements were admitted in court and can be found at  https://courtrecords.lakecounty.org/ Case Number 35-2020-CA-001851 court docket file 142, exhibit 14, page 6.

What Gordon alleges as photographic "evidence" of Yutashi in his book has not held up under scrutiny. The person in the picture that Gordon alleges to be Yutashi isn’t even Japanese. Nor does he appear in the Kodokai pictures Gordon claims he is somewhere in.

The claims of connections to aikido's Gozo Shioda and the daito ryu both online and in his book have been directly refuted and debunked. Any rank and recognition Gordon and Hatfield seek has been denied by those associated with that lineage.

At this point anything that's proposed by Gordon or Hatfield as "evidence" is no doubt the result of their purposeful deceit and fabrication.

There are two things Gordon and his crew won't do:

1. Tell the truth

2. Get on the mats and scrimmage with yours truly

Frauds and cowards.

What You Put into the Universe Comes Back

Bret Gordon wrote numerous lies about my back ground to attempt to defame and slander me. He accused me of having fake and non existent instructors. He belittled my instructors and admonished my instructors over the years for promoting me. He was involved with the online harassment of my student and his 13 year old daughter. He even reached out to one my instructors that he defamed and asked them to promote him to a nidan in judo.

The past months I have received numerous statements that Gordon defamed me to students in his school and over the phone to various people over the years. More and more people especially former students have reached out and all feel they were ripped off by Bret Gordon. Apparently Gordon has a habit of trying to intimidate people by threatening legal action.

Neither Bret Gordon or his instructor Steven Hatfield can offer  a single shred proof regarding their own back grounds. Bret Gordon has faced significant scrutiny regarding his claims of affiliation with Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu, as of late. There are inconsistencies in his statements and this has questioned the legitimacy of his purported lineage.

Gordon’s instructor Steven Hatfield has claimed to be a 6th Dan rank in Daitō-ryū jūjutsu Master (see early bio above). Reputable Daitō-ryū organizations have stated that there is no documented evidence of Hatfield's formal training or certification in this discipline from established lineages.

In 2018, Gordon publicly claimed to hold a dan rank in Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu. However, it was revealed that neither Hatfield or Gordon held no rank in or affiliation to Daitoryu. Gordon then stated the following in a 2022 blog article; "I have never claimed any rank in Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu," contradicting his earlier claim. Gordon had removed the rank claim in daitoryu from his website and then lied and tried to claim he never claimed such rank.

Hatfield, along with Gordon, has promoted a martial arts system called American Yoshinkan Aiki Jujutsu, which they claim was founded by a Japanese master named Yutashi Hasaka. According to their official website, American Yoshinkan Aiki Jujutsu was founded by Hasaka Yutashi, with Steven Hatfield inheriting the art in 2006. Bret Gordon later became a student of Hatfield and was appointed as the headmaster in 2020.

Gordon and Hatfield have presented varying and inconsistent narratives over the years regarding the existence and background of Hasaka Yutashi.  These shifting accounts have raised significant skepticism within the martial arts community.

Evolution of the Hasaka Yutashi Narrative

Their Initial accounts describe Hasaka Yutashi as a Japanese martial artist who began developing what would become American Yoshinkan Aiki Jujutsu in 1957. He is said to have studied Yoshinkan Aikido under Gozo Shioda and Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu under Kodo Horikawa, eventually moving to the United States in the 1980s. The art was reportedly named "American Yoshinkan Aiki Jujutsu" in 1999. However, critics have pointed out that there is no verifiable evidence of Yutashi's existence, his contributions to martial arts or training in aikido or daito ryu..

Earlier versions of Hatfield's martial arts background mention a Haska Yutasi. It was then claimed by Gordon that Hatfield had been mispronouncing and misspelling his own instructors name.

The shifting narratives from both Gordon and Hatfield and lack of concrete evidence point toward a constructed lineage aimed at establishing legitimacy for their own made up homemade martial arts system.

Bret Gordon then claimed to be in possession of photographs depicting Hasaka Yutashi, including one from the 25th Anniversary of the Kodokai. However, experts have debunked these claims, stating that the individuals in the photographs are not Yutashi and that the images have been misrepresented.

In response to the mounting criticism, Gordon later stated that the reason no records could be verified was because "Hasaka Yutashi" was an alias. Hasaka Yutashi, a supposed Japanese guy had changed his name to Japanese name that isn't a actual Japanese name.  Gordon's story that Hasaka is an alias has further fueled skepticism and added to the lack of legitimacy and authenticity of their claims and the existence of Yutashi.

The existence of Hasaka and proof of their training has been requested to be presented by multiple judges to date. Gordon and Hatfield have both refused to offer a shred of proof to the courts. Yet a old Japanese group picture adorns their walls and their sites with the statement that Yusaka is somewhere in the picture.

The story, according to others, of Hasaka Yutashi has changed over the years too. Supposedly it was “someone” who taught Hatfield's step father William Sirbaugh then it was handed to Hatfield and then to Gordon. They had a supposed picture of Hatfield's step father training in Korea however that picture wasn't him. In actuality it was a picture of a Lawrence Sieberliech. They had misrepresented the picture to be of Sirbaugh. The pictured had been pilfered from the Moo Du Kwan website. Lawrence Sieberliech had trained extensively at the Moo Du Kwan in Korea.

Extensive research has failed to verify the existence of Hasaka, and linguistic analysis verifies the name is not consistent with Japanese naming conventions, indicating it's fabricated.

The martial arts community has raised serious concerns about Steven Hatfield's and Gordon’s claims of any credentials in or lineage to Daitō-ryū Aiki-jujutsu and other disciplines. The lack of proof of verifiable formal training, verifiable evidence, associations with discredited individuals, and creation of self-styled systems contribute to the perception that their claims are unfounded and lack legitimacy.

Steven Hatfield's association with Renshinkan Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu has been a subject of controversy and scrutiny within the martial arts community. While Hatfield and his associate Bret Gordon have denied claiming formal rank from Renshinkan Daito ryu Aikijujutsu their actions, implications and representations were otherwise and led to disputes and clarifications from the Renshinkan Organization.

In a blog post, Bret Gordon addressed allegations regarding their association with Renshinkan, stating: "That is one hundred percent categorically false, and I challenge anyone to find a post or article where Steven Hatfield or myself claimed to have rank from the Renshinkan."

Gordon acknowledged that Hatfield had posted a video demonstrating Renshinkan techniques while wearing a midnight blue belt, and that others "mistakenly identified it as a black belt". He emphasized that no explicit claim of rank was made in the video. However, there is no blue belt rank of any shade of blue issued in Daito ryu nor did Hatfield hold any rank at all in Renshinkan Daitō-ryū Aikijujutsu.

Despite Gordon’s and Hatfield’s spin and denials, court dockets indicate that Renshinkan representatives took issue with Hatfield's misrepresentation, conducted their own research and, following a conversation with Hatfield, debunked his claims and alleged that Hatfield purposely misrepresented himself as being ranked within the Renshinkan. Also this discussion with the Renshinkan denotes another shift in Hatfield's and Gordon's ever changing narrative. This was the first mentions of Hasaka Yutashi being a family member of Hatfield's.  Additionally, these references are in court docket files (130, 138, and 139) https://courtrecords.lakecounty.org/ Case Number 35-2020-CA-001851

Gordon claimed last year that they won their case. However this was a lie. The case appears to have been abandoned after the defendant Dale Dumas got an attorney.  Once submitted into the docket there is 90 days to offer proof contesting these filings. That was up months ago. These court filings shed significant light on the lies and fraud perpetuated by Gordon and have been left uncontested by both Gordon and Hatfield and stand as a matter of record.

Howard Popkin, a recognized Daitō-ryū practitioner, met Gordon in 2014 and observed his training. Popkin later in 2020 described Gordon as "a bold-faced liar" and concluded that Gordon was fabricating his martial arts background. This can also be found in court docket file 142, exhibit 14, page 6. Popkin has spoken out against Gordon's claims for years.

Donald Quintana, a senior instructor with the Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu Kodokai U.S. Hombu, has debunked Bret Gordon's claims regarding Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu. He publicly denounced Gordon's assertions of lineage and rank within Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu in 2020. This also seen in court docket files.

Most recently many Aikijujutsu practitioners that Gordon claims connections to in his book, have denied even knowing Gordon or training with him, much less being connected or affiliated to him. Others have stated that he grossly misrepresented their statements in his book in an effort to paint himself as a expert in Daito ryu aiki jujutsu and aiki arts.

Gordon and Hatfield have cited figures like Hasaka Yutashi, Shune Davis and a William Sirbaugh as foundational to their martial arts systems. However, Hasaka and Davis are not real individuals. There is no credible records supporting their existence much less any martial arts background. William Sirbaugh has no verifiable martial arts training which further cast doubt on their claimed lineages and affiliations.

Gordon and Hatfield have claimed high-ranking positions in various martial arts. However, their affiliations often trace back to organizations or individuals with questionable legitimacy. For example, Hatfield claims to have received a 5th Dan in Judo under Jack "Papasan" Stern, a figure convicted of Stolen Valor. Stern admitted in federal court that he wasn’t a martial artist and had issued illegitimate martial arts ranks and certifications in judo and Korean martial arts. This alone casts doubt on the legitimacy of Hatfield’s credentials and showcase he and Gordon’s tendency to glum onto and collect fake credentials and fake rank.

Gordon's early claims included earning black belts in multiple disciplines by the age of 16 and founding his own martial art system, San Budo Sogo Bugei. However, these assertions have been challenged by former instructors and lack credibility.

Conclusion

Gordon lists a variety of ranks in multiple arts (e.g., Aiki Budo, Goju Ryu Karate, Taekwondo, Judo), these ranks often come from out of thin air just made up, or from lesser-known or self-styled organizations. There is no documentation, no pictures of him going through formal training or third-party confirmation from mainstream or internationally recognized martial arts federations.

The figure of Hasaka Yutashi, claimed founder of American Yoshinkan Aiki Jujutsu, has been shown to be fabricated. Linguistic analysis reveals the name is not consistent with Japanese naming norms. Gordon's shifting stories and eventual admission that Yutashi was an “alias,” only occurred after significant external pressure and demand for proof.

Hatfield, who "passed down" American Yoshinkan to Gordon, is himself not recognized by legitimate Daitō-ryū or traditional Japanese martial arts organizations. Hatfield’s own rank claims and organizational affiliations have been widely discredited.

There is no endorsement or recognition from credible Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu organizations (such as Kodokai, Takumakai, or the mainline Hombu). Their claims to the Kodokai have been directly refuted and debunked. Any rank and recognition Gordon and Hatfield seek has been denied by those associated with that lineage.

Gordon’s own accounts have changed multiple times and shifted when his claims are debunked. Earlier writings do not mention key figures or claims he later introduced. Photographic "evidence" presented has not held up under scrutiny. They have tried to change and back date histories however that has only added more scrutiny.

After denying anyone access to their so called proof for years and even refusing to submit it to prove their back ground to the Kodokai and even multiple different judges in a court of law, Gordon put a picture of the man who was supposedly Yutashi in his book. After multiple iterations of Hasaka, he is supposedly Hatfield's family member. One accounting is a grand father another story is a he is a step grand father to Hatfield.

There are two very noticeable things about the picture:

1.)  The person in the picture doesn't appear to be Japanese and 2.) the man in the picture in the book isn't shown in the old Japanese photographs that Gordon posted, including the one from the 25th Anniversary of the Kodokai that Gordon’s claimed Yutashi was in.

Two weeks after the release of the book the Kodokai addressed the claims (above) made in the book and verified that Gordon lied about his background and any connections to the Daitō-ryū and that the picture of Hasaka Yutashi was no one who had trained in the Daito ryu under Kodo Horikawa.

Gordon now says that he cant offer proof, because he is under a non-disclosure agreement, but just buy his book because the proof is there.....yeah I cant make this shit up.

To be continued....

About Those "Accomplishments"

A very substantial amount of evidence indicates that Bret Gordon created the illusion of his supposed high level martial arts skills through a combination of fabricated lineages, inflated accomplishments, invented instructors, appropriation of established martial arts histories, self-issued or dubious certificates, and constant revisions of his background to evade scrutiny.

Gordon claimed lineage through individuals such as Shune Davis and Hasaka Yutashi, who, as it stands don't exist. These names were used to create a false sense of tradition and legitimacy for his martial arts background  and organizations.

Gordon claimed that William Sirbaugh was a founder and central figure in his martial arts lineage. However, public records showed Sirbaugh was incarcerated during the years he was supposedly founding and developing martial arts systems, making these claims impossible.

Gordon attempted to link himself to American Ji Do Kwan lineage and its founder, GM E.A. Fuzy, despite having no legitimate connection. His narrative shifted over time to fit new information or to respond to criticism. When confronted with evidence contradicting his many claims, Gordon repeatedly altered the official histories on his websites and social media. Gordon’s stories often referenced meetings, collaborations, and organizational splits that could not have occurred based on the documented whereabouts and activities of the people involved. For example, he claimed Sirbaugh and Davis broke from Fuzy and took “American Jidokwan Taekwondo” with them, but records show Sirbaugh was in prison at the time.

Gordon claims that American Yoshinkan Aikijujutsu was founded by the Japanese martial artist Yutashi Hasaka. There is no record of Yutashi Hasaka or this martial art in any Japanese source, nor is there any mention of such a practitioner in Japan or in recognized Aikijujutsu circles. No Japanese martial arts organization or historian acknowledges the existence of this individual or the system. Gordon claims to possess "irrefutable evidence" of the existence of Hasaka but has refused to produce it, even in court in a lawsuit filed by Gordon, leading to the consensus that Hasaka and others were invented to legitimize his many martial arts histories.

Much like his training history Gordon’s martial arts tournament history is also inflated through his use of very misleading language.

Gordon went so far as to equate open tournaments with Olympic-level events. He has implied that his martial arts achievements are the “equivalent of Olympic level competition,” primarily citing his participation and victories at the 2010 World Martial Arts Games. According to his own biography (on his website), Gordon states he was scouted by the US Martial Arts Team and won three “World Championship Titles” (Point Fighting, Kickboxing, and Team Fighting) at this event, further emphasizing that the Games were sanctioned by TAFISA, which is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He uses this association to suggest that his accomplishments are on par with Olympic-level martial arts. Link: https://www.triomartialarts.com/sensei-bret-gordon.html

While TAFISA is indeed recognized by the IOC as a “Sport for All” organization, its events are not Olympic competitions, nor are they considered equivalent in prestige or competitive rigor to Olympic martial arts events such as Olympic Judo or Taekwondo. The World Martial Arts Games are open tournaments, not official world championships under the governance of major international federations.

There is no evidence from recognized sport governing bodies or mainstream martial arts organizations that the World Martial Arts Games or Gordon’s titles are considered Olympic-level or carry the same weight as Olympic medals.

The language used in Gordon’s biography and promotional materials exaggerates the status of these events. Gordon’s biography and websites frequently use grandiose language to describe his achievements, often conflating open circuit or invitational events with the far more selective and regulated world of Olympic sport.

Apparently, Gordon is a legend in his own mind.

Gordon’s background lacks the hallmarks of formal martial arts education: regular, long-term instruction under established teachers, documented progression through recognized ranks, and affiliation with legitimate, historic organizations. Even in his own accounts, much of his training history is fragmented, involves switching between instructorsand systems with no records of ranks received even at a beginner level and relies heavily on recognition from within a small, self-referential circle and promoting himself. Through the use of misleading language Gordon inflates this as hard earned, well deserved training accomplishments due to his "vast experience in other arts." However, this "vast experience" has been proven to be on all fronts made up and unverifiable.

Law Enforcement Tactics Certification

Bret Gordon claims to be a Certified Defensive Tactics and Combatives Instructor through the Law Enforcement Tactical Training Institute (LETTI), advertising himself as one of only a handful of such instructors in Florida.

There is no independent, third-party documentation or endorsement from recognized law enforcement or defensive tactics authorities confirming the legitimacy or rigor of Gordon’s LETTI certification program. LETTI  is not recognized as a leading or authoritative body in the field of law enforcement defensive tactics training simply appears to be something that Gordon or his instructor or both have just made up.

There is little publicly available information about LETTI’s curriculum, standards, or oversight, making it difficult to assess the value or legitimacy of certifications issued by this organization. All claims about this credential originate from Gordon’s own websites, social media, or promotional materials. There is no credible evidence that a "Law Enforcement Tactical Training Institute" (LETTI) exists as a recognized or authoritative organization for law enforcement defensive tactics or combatives certification in the United States. There is no evidence that Gordon even went through any type of real tactical training either for law enforcement or otherwise.

Search results reference several legitimate and widely recognized law enforcement training programs and certifying bodies, however, none of the search results mention an organization called "Law Enforcement Tactical Training Institute" (LETTI), nor do they reference LETTI as a certifying authority for defensive tactics instructors.

Unsupported by any credible law enforcement training standards or documentation in the United States Gordon’s defensive tactics certification is questionable due to the lack of independent verification, the ambiguous standing of LETTI, and Gordon’s broader pattern of promoting credentials from organizations with limited or no recognition. Without external validation or clear standards, the legitimacy of this certification is doubtful.

Yeah about those accomplishments.......

It All Speaks Volumes of a Cowardly Nature

As mentioned in my last article Bret Gordon bragged about winning a lawsuit that he filed but he actually has not won it. Gordon claimed he was defamed but doesn’t offer no proof as to where he was defamed or how.  As it stands all kinds of evidence submitted to the courts about the many lies and embellishments Gordon has told about his background over the years was submitted into record by the defendant. Gordon appears to have either abandoned the case or he is simply waiting for the defendant to pass away so he can claim a victory in court.

What kind of guy files a frivolous lawsuit, against a person, who was diagnosed and is battling cancer.  Someone who filed the case for the sole purpose to scare people and try and shut people up.  Gordon filed this suit after Gordon purposely lied online about me so he could intentionally defame and slander me and my instructors. I want to point out who Gordon is and why he never wants to take me on, be it on the mats, the street or in the court room........

Apparently, back in 2020 before the case was filed against the defendant, a Dale Dumas, Gordon had filed a false police report against him. Because the guy had the audacity to take Gordon up one of the many challenges Gordon made online. The police report pertaining to false report made by Gordon was submitted into court records.

Gordon after running his mouth online about getting on the mats with anyone who dared questioned his ranks, challenged the defendant to a fight on a certain date and Gordon demanded that Dumas sign a waiver before the match or sparring session. According to Gordon’s own former students, Gordon approached them asking them to gang up on and beat up Dumas, the second he came into the school on the date that Gordon had arranged.

Dumas apparently came by a week early and dropped off the waiver, a video of Dumas dropping the waiver off is up online. At the end of their conversation we see Gordon inviting them all to come back and train anytime. Even shaking hands. When Gordon couldn’t get his students to commit to jumping Dumas, a day or two after Dumas dropped off his signed waiver, Gordon contacted the police claiming Dumas entered his school in a rage and destroyed his dojo. Gordon claimed Dumas powered up his chi in his hands and broke his desk and destroyed the school knocking holes in the walls.

According to police reports there was zero signs of any damage being done. Gordon claimed that all the damage had been repaired. The police noted there where no signs of repair work on the walls that Gordon claimed Dugas had punched holes in and damaged.  After the investigation , the police went back to Gordon and informed him that filing false police reports is a crime. They also told him that he should not be challenging individuals to fight online if he had no intentions to and was going to use that as a opportunity to file false charges against anyone who showed up.

Not being able to get Dumas arrested, Gordon and his instructor decided to file a lawsuit against Dumas for slander and defamation through an attorney.

I recently found out that Dumas was diagnosed years ago and is battling cancer. To my understanding Dumas was also jobless struggling to make ends meet. Because of Dumas’ circumstances he was targeted by Gordon. Gordon feels he can victimize Dumas, because Dumas is sick, undergoing treatments against cancer.

However several months ago Dumas got an attorney and Gordon and team have since ran for the hills and don't want to touch the case with a ten foot pole. Their only options are praying that the frivolously filed lawsuit just goes away or that Dumas loses his battle to cancer.

Several former student’s have relayed to me that Gordon threatens to get his attorney after them. A obvious tool to victimize and intimidate those who don't buy into his martial arts claims. Victimizing those who for whatever reason cant fight back is Gordon’s M.O. Gordon can bully a student of mine and his kid, he can threaten people with an attorney, get others to threaten my student, he can harass a guy battling cancer but is too much of a pussy to face me ANY FUCKING WHERE. And I do mean ANY FUCKING WHERE, the mats, in the street and even in court. Gordon isn't a martial artist or an instructor, he can't even call himself a man.

Gordon has plenty to hide from any legal precedings. He has made claims to have trained under or be affiliated with certain people that he had absolutely no relationship with at all. He had an old BJJ site up where he implied to be affiliated with a legit local area BJJ instructor but when caught by that instructor he had to take that site down. Gordon tried to connect himself to the BJJ instructor without their knowledge. Gordon has reached out to instructors even in other countries that he didn't know and has asked them to promote or recognize his rank. After calling me and my instructors fake and trying to slander and defame all of us for years he emailed one of them asking for rank in judo. A sad ass attempt to connect himself to me and my work.

Word is in the BJJ and Judo communities that neither Gordon nor his black belts can actually cut it on the mats. They have been thrown, rolled up and submitted out even by white belts. Bret and his so called ranked students were literally so embarrassed on the mats that their ranks have been questioned and have been told their ranks aren't any good and to put white belts on. This is the mess that is Bret Gordon. Some have tried to get ranks garnered from Gordon recognized by other orgs and have been turned down.

After being made a total fool of and less and less people buying into his stories, Gordon can only pick on and bully and victimize the weak, the inexperienced and the defenseless and that is exactly what he does.

Gordon purposely puts legitimate instructors and their experience down, he claims others are jealous of him. Gordon should have never ran his meat sucker at all not with his bullshit. His ranks are total bullshit built on his lies. The bitchboy can’t even prove his own back ground not even in his own court case. The frivolous lawsuit was only filed to try and scare and intimidate people.....don't see the shit stain coming after me. He is too afraid to.

His embellishments not only included a well known judo fraud but a lineage to a non existent, instructor, Hasaka Yutashi, a supposed Japanese guy who changed his name to a Japanese sounding name, that isn't a actual Japanese name, who supposedly trained with the founder of Daitoryu. The Daitoryu Kodokai has since debunked this as utter nonsense.

But Gordon says take his word for it. However, Gordon has been caught in lie and after lie. When caught he just makes up new ones. Gordon’s many rank certificates, that he probably masturbates to, amount to nothing more than an almost endless supply of toilet paper.

Gordon harassed a student of mine who lived in another state and his daughter to get back at me to the point if my student receives another online threat Gordon will probably have an warrant issued for his arrest. He went after them because I called him on his bullshit. He is too much of a pussy to deal with me. When I offered him a chance to scrimmage, he backed down at every turn, then to prove he could scrimmage he posted a video up of himself with middle school aged kid.

So I guess if I was sick or dying from cancer or a middle school boy, Gordon would mange to rustle up some guts.

It all speaks volumes of his cowardly nature.

Bret Gordon a Writer of Martial Science Fiction

When it comes to tough talk Bret Gordon sure can run his meat sucker. Check out his bullshit pictured left. Problem is he just cant back any of his bull shit up. Gordon has a very fictional and over inflated idea of his capabilities. He has none. Gordon cant choke his chicken without slapping himself.

He has tried to claim that his aiki would make any style better. Apparently it wont work against me.
He certainly isnt man enough to back those claims up. Must be that he doesnt want to put his fake aiki lineage but not lineage bullshit to the test.

Over a year ago, Bret Gordon also claimed in an article about me that he won a defamation lawsuit: https://bretgordon.weebly.com/blog/pot-meet-kettle-barron-shepherd-part-2#/  In the very first sentence Gordon literally started the article off with the claim that he had won his lawsuit;

“I knew after we won our defamation suit, our trolls and haters would come back with a vengeance. When the truth isn't on their side, the only strategy left is to flood the search engines in order to bury it. I'll admit that I was a little shocked at who's leading the charge, but let's dive in...

"The majority of the attacks against us came after I wrote an article in 2020 on Barron Shepherd, a local judo instructor and the first troll dumb enough to use their real name to lie about us.”

So Gordon claimed I lied but apparently cant prove where I did?  His bullshit is over. His con is over. He cant even prove his back ground in his own defamation lawsuit.

I can certainly prove he lied about me to attempt to defame me and that...back in March one of my students, Randy, and his family was harassed online again this happened not barely a week after exposing Jack Stern as a martial arts fraud (Bret Gordon claimed a lineage to this man so he could claim a Judo rank). Gordon's history of this has already been established by the local authorities in Alabama.  I didn't for one second believe this was a coincidence or that Bret Gordon has been behind harassing my student and his daughter on more than one occasion.

Gordon is okay with issuing threats to those who live in other states and those he thinks he can bully in some way. But I am 40 minutes away and the cowardly fuck does nothing. Let this be perfectly clear, I am someone Bret Gordon willfully and intentionally lied about. I am someone who Gordon purposely tried to defame and slander. My instructors are people he tried to defame and slander.

I offered Gordon the opportunity to get on the mats and scrimmage. He pussed out. I offered to promote him if he could show me any skill at all in a scrimmage against me. He pussed out. I offered to scrimmage with him allowing him to use any of his styles against me and I would stick to judo rules. He pussed out. I offered to scrimmage with him and his instructor at the same time.....he pussed out. .

Formal training in a system and capability makes one a black belt. Gordon cant prove either his rank claims or his capability. Through Gordon's own actions and threats of litigation and intimidation the word is out in the judo and bjj community.....Gordon is a joke. Nothing from Gordon, no rank received or given from him is worth a fuck. The threats Gordon tries to level at people either over the phone, legal or otherwise are empty threats.  Gordon cant prove any serious martial arts training either on the mats or in even in court.

Gordon has made claims to have trained under or be affiliated with certain people that he had absolutely no relationship with at all. He had an old BJJ site up where he implied to be affiliated with a legit local area BJJ instructor but when caught by that instructor he had to take it down. Gordon tried to connect himself to the BJJ instructor without their knowledge. He has reached out to instructors that he didn't even know and has asked them to promote him. After calling me and my instructors fake and trying to slander and defame all of us for years he emailed one of them asking for rank in judo. A sad ass attempt to connect himself to me and my work.

Word is in the BJJ and Judo communities that Gordon nor his black belts can actually cut it on the mats. They have been thrown, rolled up and submitted like babies. Bret and his bitch boys have been literally so embarrassed on the mats that they have been told their ranks are shit and to put white belts on.

It appears any rank Gordon claims isn’t worth a fuck, his own made up bullshit doesn’t work. He can't even prove where it comes from. Any certificate he has isn’t worth a fuck. So it goes without saying that any rank from yellow belt on up that he issues to a student isn’t worth a fuck. Gordon can’t fight his way out of a wet paper sack obviously so trying to come off like someone who can fight or knows how to deal with street violence is absolute work of fiction and fantasy.

Gordon is good at ravenously devouring multiple bags of Doritos and buckets of ice cream in a single sitting while playing his video games on the couch. Apparently it is hard to catch him without food in his hands. I guess if I was a middle school aged kid he would be all about getting on the mats to prove he can beat me in a scrimmage.

And about that defamation lawsuit that Gordon keeps claiming he won?

Gordon has lied about that too. Gordon and tribe are just hoping that it will somehow magically just go away. As Gordon cant prove he was actually defamed nor has offered any proof that he actually did train and has since back pedaled on offering proof and from the lawsuit. Gordon has lied about everything. His entire back ground debunked. His own lies that he was stupid enough to write on his own blogs ALL uncovered. His story changed in those very articles every time he got caught in a lie. He has been busted so many times for his made up bullshit that his ass hole must look like a open can of crushed tomatoes.

Former students are now telling me that Gordon has now gone so far as to claim that he did not write his own blogs but that they were put up online by his detractors and or AI generated by haters who are jealous of his success. Seriously could his lies get any bigger or worse. A liar will always lie. Good luck with passing any of that off in court. That is about as believable as this fake aikijujutsu lineage through someone called  Hasaka, a non existent person, who according to Gordon, trained in Daito ryu, but the Daito ryu Kodokai called Gordon out on that too.

Gordon is obviously only good at writing pure fiction. He is certainly incapable of actually telling the truth.
