Bret Gordon’s Epic Failed Defamation Attempt

This will be my last article on the likes of Bret Gordon. Any future updates will be added to this article at the bottom and noteded as "UPDATE". No more time will be spent on articles regarding the likes of Gordon, Jack Stern or others of like ilk. 

Gordon attempted to defame and slander not just myself but all of my instructors. I am someone Gordon intentionally told lies about. The reason? A hatred of me because I am a trained and talented martial artist with a verifiable back ground. 

I am everything Gordon wishes he could be.

In the past 5 years my style of judo has grown and it has become known for its progressiveness and effectiveness. It didn't get that way from talking shit online or defaming others. It got that way because I proved it on the mats. Others saw the effectiveness of my particular style of judo first hand. It is nothing to see me on the mats with different styles of grapplers. I have proved and can prove the effectiveness of what I do.  Through years of hard work, dedication and determination my dynamic and progressive style of judo has become a brand.....and it isn't stopping there. 

Comparatively, all that is presented by Gordon is a convoluted word salad of which Gordon claims to have inherited a system that was supposedly connected to Daito ryu but is not Daito ryu, because its different. 

According to Gordon the system comes from a mysterious dude who was playing a dude disguised as another dude, who changed his name to a Japanese sounding name that isn't a real Japanese name. 

Honestly, if Gordon's YouTube vid demos are any indication, this mysterious dude obviously couldn't fight worth a fuck.

However, Gordon would have people believe he has extensive training and knowledge of secret fighting techniques. The problem is there are no secret aiki techniques that are going to save you in the actual field of self defense and combat. If there were any such thing then Gordon shouldn't and wouldn't have an issue getting on the mats with......yours truly.  

And with such in his repertoire Gordon tried to defame myself and my instructors....instead of actually getting on the mats to randori with me. He was told he could use any of his styles that he claimed and I would stick to just judo. 

Daito ryu's  Takeda Sōkaku was known for his first hand combat experience, acquiring skills in street fights across Japan. He traveled extensively, defeating all challengers, even including some high-ranking judoka and experienced fighters from various arts.

Gordon, on the other hand, pisses his pants at the notion of getting on the mats with yours truly..

Gordon did claim he would get on the mats with anybody anytime. Apparently when it comes to me he obviously cant back his claims up......so much for his so called "extensive training". 

Gordon IS AFRAID OF ME on many levels. He has legit reasons to be afraid that go beyond just me.

 1.) His fear of exposure. Gordon simply cant fight or randori. Engaging in randori with me would expose his lack of skill and inability to apply any techniques he claims to know effectively. He relies on compliant demonstrations to maintain the illusion of expertise. His self aggrandizing must be protected at all costs....even through cowardly acts and not to mention the lies he told about me to save face. 

 2.) Gordon is insecure in his abilities. Gordon wont put anything he claims he can do against me on the mats. That tells me that he doesn't even believe his own methods and system actually work. He lacks any physical conditioning, he lacks technical proficiency and he lacks any real-world experience required to randori effectively. Gordon knows that he would be outperformed by myself. 

 3.) Avoidance of Accountability: Randori involves direct testing of martial arts techniques under pressure. Gordon avoids me because he knows his methods would fail, and it would undermine any credibility he thinks he has (or what's left of it).

In one of his articles, Gordon claimed that he could accomplish what I did. He isn't tough enough or even man enough to. He has certainly made it obvious he doesnt have the work ethic or dedication. 

Gordon's attempted defamation of me failed miserably and backfired. Unlike Gordon I can back everything I say up and it shows on the mats. He knows he can never measure up to an able and accomplished judoka like myself.

UPDATE  Just hours after making the post above I was forwarded the following: 

"There is no connection between Bret Gordon and the Daito ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai organization either here in the USA or in Japan. Any information or claims he is staking he is making up. The Daito ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai organization keeps strict records of it's members. There is and has never been a "Hasaka Yutashi" who trained in the Kodo Kai organization either here in the USA or in Japan. There is no basis for him to claim that his organization is based on or connected with the Kodokai in any way shape or form, much like the claim he mentions about Yoshinkan aikido, He should also state that his organization is in no way descended from or has any connections with the Daito ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai organization. The photo he includes in his book is no one that has held any rank or title in the Daito ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai organization in either the USA or Japan. Please see the attached letter (below) and let me know if there is anything I can further help with or that you may need."
